The Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) has issued a statement on very high-risk environments, including nightclubs, dance venues and large unstructured outdoor events. For more information please refer to the AHPPC website

Chief Health Officer public health directions

During a public health emergency, the Chief Health Officer can issue Public Health Directions to assist in containing, or to respond to, the spread of COVID-19 within the community.

As you are performing in Pubs and Clubs, be aware of COVID Safe Checklist for Dining and drinking.

Masks

Our Live Music Artists will follow all Safety directives from Security, Management and Staff to ensure all Live Shows are safe.

In times of Lockdown Restrictions, you are mandated to wear a mask loading the gear in from your car to the venue, while setting up on stage, during your breaks and while loading out to your car post performance.

Check in with the Duty Manager about current restrictions at all times.

Keep a mask with you for all gigs.

We do not recommend that you perform while wearing a mask.

Live Artists will promote the Venue Gig Safe policy on stage during the show.

Gig Safe Kit

Artists each provide their own Gig Safe Kit for each show including hand sanitizer, gloves, alcohol wipes and Glen 20.

The Gig Safe Show practice includes the wiping down of all equipment in each break including mics, leads, stands, instruments, amps and PA.

Our Live Music Artists observe a strict personal Debugging practice when they arrive home each night – shoes, hair, clothes etc. – to protect against COVID 19 transmission.

Social Distancing

Our Live Music Artists will follow all Safety directives from Security, Management and Staff to ensure all Live Shows are safe.

No patron will use any equipment – mic, instrument etc.

Social Distancing will be observed on stage and in every area of the venue.

Live Artists will promote the Venue Gig Safe policy on stage during the show.

Audience Member Dancing

The Live Music Artists work in accordance with current Public Health Directions and will advise members of the public that dancing is not allowed Thursday 1 to Thursday 15 April.  This will update regularly.

Live Artist Gig Safe Wellness Practice

A Strong Wellness Practice for all Live Music Artists means that their immune systems are strong and they have wellness practices in place to ensure they do not perform if they feel unwell. Keeping healthy while exposed to a Hotel or Club audience is a key element of the COVID Gig Safe Plan.
