Lead singer Michael Stangel was a finalist on “The Voice” in 2013 and successfully made the top 3 on Team Joel Madden. Michael has also been involved with many of Australiaʼs biggest acts such as Shannon Noll and The Veronicaʼs. Long time friend and musical genius Dave Stevens plays bass and sings. His history is simply unbeatable. He is the son of AC/DCʼs Bon Scott who was arguably one of the biggest Rock Stars the world has ever known. Dave has been a large part of the iconic St Kilda music fraternity for the past decade having toured here and overseas with bands. His credits include Linch Pin (America + Japan) Jeff lang, Sonic Youth and Tim Rogers just to name a few.
On drums, Stewie rounds out the band with his unique skill, vocals and wit. He is a typical North Queenslander with a can do attitude. As well as touring nationally and overseas on many occasions with Michael, he has worked with some of the greatest musicians on the planet such as Justin Derrico (P!NK’s Guitarist) and many other Australian artists. The American Classics have been playing throughout Australia and are currently involved in a new TV pilot featuring the activities of its members. The show is set to come out sometime in 2016.
