Grace Knight has wowed crowds for over 40 years since working her passage to Australia as a singer on a cruise liner in 1977. In her current show, Grace takes the audience on a journey across those 40 years, picking and choosing from her repertoire of over 200 recorded songs. Audiences are loving the mix of material from across her solo career, along with some delicate interpretations of Eurogliders’ biggest hits.
Still a creative powerhouse, she released her 9th solo album, ‘Grace’, in 2018 following on from the release of ‘Fragile’ in 2016. ‘Grace’ is an eclectic mix of sensitive reworkings of some Eurogliders’ classics, a few jazz standards and a handful of new songs, and sees Grace at the absolute peak of her vocal powers.
Grace Knight is one of the most enduring talents in Australian music. With ARIA awards and nominations and chart-topping recordings in each of the past three decades.
Acclaimed for her live performances, Grace is one of the finest interpreters of popular music in Australia today. Knight’s spellbinding performances touch the soul and lift the heart. Her magical presence connects with audiences of all ages like few others can.
She blew audiences away throughout the eighties as lead singer of internationally successful band Eurogliders. She captivated fans with her “Manic Ballerina” stage persona and Eurogliders took the charts by storm. Eurogliders performed to a TV audience of 65 million people on the MTV New Year’s special in 1984 and racked up multiple Platinum and Gold, albums and singles.
As a solo artist she transformed herself from Pop Princess to Queen of Cool and lit up the screen in ABC TV’s award winning mini-series, Come In Spinner. The soundtrack album to Come In Spinner went on to become the highest selling Australian jazz album of all time. A string of successful solo albums followed. During her jazz career, Grace has done countless live shows including performances for five Australian Prime Ministers, President Clinton of the United States, Princess Diana, and the Thai Royal Family
In 2013 Grace Knight & Bernie Lynch reformed Eurogliders and have been touring since then. In 2015 they released their 6th studio album titled, “Don’t Eat The Daisies”, which featured stripped back performances of many of their hits in addition to a number of new songs.
These days she happily splits her time between touring with Eurogliders, playing huge outdoor shows and festivals, and performing her own shows in smaller, intimate venues where the audience is ‘up close and personal’.
