LONG BIO

Action depends on energy.

It serves as the engine for motion, movement, and evolution. It also powers all progress. Acclaimed DJ and production duo The Stafford Brothers harness and apply such energy to every aspect of their multi-faceted career, diverting it from the studio and the stage into extensive entrepreneurial pursuits and ancillary businesses. As a result, the brotherly pair of Chris and Matt count multiple platinum certifications, tens of millions of streams, three consecutive ITM Awards as “Number One DJ’s, an ARIA nomination, and hundreds of sold out shows among their growing list of achievements.

The energy simply never relents.

“We’ve always had this ‘Green Light’ mentality that our dad imparted upon us,” explains Chris. “It means have a go, put your all into everything and that’s what we do. Energy is the key. It catalyzes the music. It ignites the shows. When we’re performing, we need that bang.”

“When you love something, you’ll put that energy into it,” adds Matt. “It defines the music, fitness, and business. It’s all about moving forward.”

That’s precisely what they’ve done since the dawn of their career. After grinding it out in their native Australia for years, the duo achieved a major international breakthrough by way of the 2013 single “Hello” [feat. Lil Wayne & Christina Milian]. Not only did it go triple-platinum Down Under, but it also vied for “Song of the Year” at the ARIA Music Awards. Between sold out shows in every corner of the globe, they collaborated with Waka Flocka Flame, T.I., Rick Ross, Jay Sean, Steve Aoki, and more. They landed in the coveted DJ Mag Top 100 in addition to the ITM honors. 2019 saw them considerably ramp up their musical output.

“We’re going back to our roots and what we started out playing,” says Chris.

“It’s Jäeger-fueled party madness,” Matt elaborates. “We’re making music you can easily hear in the club or online. It’s about escaping the moment and enjoying a release.”

That brings us to “Here Comes the Drop” and “Knock.” Within a few months’ time, they racked up millions of streams while stoking further excitement for the likes of 2019’s “Wolf” with MOSKA. “Wolf” bared its fangs with a driving bassline, robust vocals, glitchy percussion, and primal wolf noises.

All three songs return to what the boys describe as “a true club vibe where the sound is the focus.

As they maintain a steady output of music, they remain headliners worldwide. Additionally, they host their own radio show Stafford Brothers Present: SomethingBIG and are broadcast stateside by iHeartRadio.

2015 saw them formally launch JACK MGMT. Named after their grandfather, the full-service independent management company represents Brooke Evers, Philla, Timmy Trumpet, and of course, Stafford Brothers. It upholds a philosophy of “protecting artists and standing behind them, as Matt puts it.

In the end, all of this energy yields one overarching desired result no matter what Stafford Brothers do. Sharpening their signature sound to knifepoint precision, they rekindled the fire of their earliest material as fuel for a bold and bright next chapter. The energy simply never relents.
