Hailing from Brisbane is emerging piano pop artist, Chandler Jay. Already with six singles behind him, ‘I’m Original’ (awarded highly commended in the schools section of the 2018 Queensland Music Awards), ‘My Own Personal Pain’, ‘Party In The House’, ‘Meant To Be’, ‘You’ll Be Mine’ and his most recent single, ‘Glitter In Her Eyes’, the young singer-songwriter continues to bring his stories to life through music.
Drawing musical inspiration from his idols including Elton John, Guy Sebastian, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Charlie Puth, Delta Goodrem and Olivia Rodrigo. Chandler’s unique vocal tones and piano skillset have been compared to that of Tim Freedman from The Whitlams.
With youth on his side Chandler is already a veteran in the music industry and has clocked up over nine years of performing regularly at different venues between Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Toowoomba and Melbourne. Chandler has a repertoire of popular music from the 60’s right through to now and people of all ages are amazed at his musical versatility.
Chandler has achieved incredible educational milestones so far including Grade 5 Piano Performance, Grade 3 Theory of Music, Certificate II in Music Industry, Certificate IV Music Industry (Performance) and a Diploma of Arts (Music). Chandler also plays guitar, but through his writing and performances has always been drawn to the piano where he connects most.
An accomplished performer with an enthusiastic soul, Chandler continues to develop and hone his unique sound and is certainly a new pop artist to watch.
