Pushworth / Live + Local / Artist Resources

15 SECONDS.
ONE GREAT FIRST IMPRESSION.

Your publicity photo shows audiences what you look like. Your sizzle reel shows them what you can do.

Give venues a short, powerful glimpse of your live performance. Create one reusable, silent video that they can customise for upcoming gigs.

No production crew required. Just your phone, your best performance moments and a little stage presence.

01 / Watch the examples

One performance. Three formats.

Venues promote entertainment across different platforms, and each platform needs a different video shape. Watch how the same performance footage is presented in vertical, square and landscape formats.

Example 01 — Live Performance

One performance video, reframed for three different uses.

Vertical / 9:16

Instagram, Facebook and TikTok Reels.

Square / 1:1

Social posts and website event cards.

Landscape / 16:9

Venue screens and websites.

Example 02 — Live Performance

A second example showing how different performance footage adapts to the same three formats.

Vertical / 9:16

1080 × 1920 recommended delivery.

Square / 1:1

1080 × 1080 recommended delivery.

Landscape / 16:9

1920 × 1080 recommended delivery.

These are format demonstrations, not filming templates. Your own video should feature three engaging five-second performance moments. The examples show how finished footage can work in three different formats.

02 / Plan your shots

Find your best 15 seconds.

Your sizzle reel should capture the energy, personality and musicianship of your act. Choose three visually compelling moments that give audiences a reason to come and see you live.

0–5 SEC

Grab their attention.

Lead with a strong visual moment. A vocalist delivering a chorus, an engaging solo performance or a DJ working the crowd.

5–10 SEC

Show what you do.

Highlight musicianship, personality or movement. A guitarist, another performer, a different camera angle or an exciting performance detail.

10–15 SEC

Finish with impact.

End with your most energetic moment. A drummer's fill, a big stage moment, an audience interaction or a memorable finish.

Make it work for your act. A band might feature its vocalist, guitarist and drummer. A duo might use three different performance angles. A solo artist might show vocals, instrumental performance and audience connection. The point is variety, energy and authenticity — not a compulsory lineup.

Choose your moments for how they look. The finished reel will be silent, so the footage doesn't need to follow one song or synchronise with a soundtrack.

03 / Film your footage

Landscape. 4K. Keep the action centred.

Ask someone to film your live performance using a smartphone. Capture approximately 15–20 seconds of each moment so you have plenty of footage to choose from.

Camera setting Recommendation
Orientation Landscape — hold the phone horizontally
Resolution 4K (3840 × 2160) preferred
Frame rate 30 fps
Camera Rear-facing camera, standard 1× lens
Zoom Avoid digital zoom
Stability Tripod or steady handheld
Lighting Keep faces and instruments visible
Think vertical while filming horizontally. Your video will be cropped into three shapes. Keep the featured performer near the centre of the frame and leave room for cropping. If a vertical crop loses the important action, film an additional portrait take.

Get close enough to see expression and movement. Avoid filming from the back of the room, constant zooming, shaky camera movement or people walking across the shot.

04 / Edit your video

Three moments. One silent reel.

Use CapCut or another video editor to assemble the strongest five seconds from each of your three selected moments.

  1. Create a new landscape 16:9 project.
  2. Import your original performance footage.
  3. Select approximately five seconds from each moment.
  4. Arrange the three clips into a 15-second sequence.
  5. Use clean cuts between the clips.
  6. Remove all original audio.
  7. Make only natural colour and lighting adjustments.
  8. Save the finished silent master.
Keep it clean and reusable. No soundtrack, captions, logos, dates, venue names, artificial audiences or distracting special effects. Venues will customise your footage for each event.
CHATGPT PROMPT 01 / HELP ME EDIT
I'm creating a reusable, silent 15-second promotional video for my Australian live entertainment act.

I have filmed three different performance moments.

Help me assemble the strongest five seconds of each moment into one 15-second video.

The video must:
- Use only my original footage.
- Show strong stage presence, musicianship and personality.
- Use clean cuts.
- Remove all original audio.
- Keep the featured performer centred.
- Use natural colour and lighting adjustments.
- Include no music, text, logos, dates, venue names or artificial effects.

Give me simple step-by-step instructions for CapCut.

If you cannot directly edit or export the footage, explain the editing process instead.

05 / Export your files

One reel. Three video formats.

Use the examples above as your reference. Duplicate your master project, change the canvas ratio and reframe the footage for each format.

Format Required dimensions Primary use
Vertical / 9:16 1080 × 1920 Instagram, Facebook and TikTok Reels
Square / 1:1 1080 × 1080 Social posts and website event cards
Landscape / 16:9 1920 × 1080 Venue screens and websites

Export settings: MP4 · H.264 · 30 fps · approximately 15 seconds · no audio.

Fill the frame properly. Crop and reframe each clip so the performance stays visible. No stretching, blurred backgrounds or black borders. Don't crop off faces or essential instruments.
CHATGPT PROMPT 02 / EXPORT THREE FORMATS
I have completed a silent 15-second promotional video for my live entertainment act.

Help me export it into three formats:

1. Vertical: 1080 x 1920 (9:16)
2. Square: 1080 x 1080 (1:1)
3. Landscape: 1920 x 1080 (16:9)

Please explain how to crop and reframe each clip in CapCut so the main performer remains visible.

Do not stretch the footage or add blurred backgrounds or borders.

Keep all three videos silent and approximately 15 seconds long.

Use H.264 MP4 at 30 fps.

Do not add music, text, logos, venue names or dates.

Give me clear, beginner-friendly instructions and explain when a different camera angle or additional footage is needed.

06 / Suggest your soundtrack

The footage sells the performance. The music sells the show.

Your completed video is silent. When venues promote your gig, they can choose a soundtrack that represents your musical offer and is licensed for their intended use.

Instagram Music Library

Music available for Instagram Reels and Stories. Catalogue access and permitted use depend on the account, track and promotional context. General library access does not automatically grant commercial advertising rights.

Meta Sound Collection

Music and sound effects for supported Meta uses, subject to applicable terms. Check that the chosen track is permitted for the venue's particular promotion.

TikTok Sounds / Music Library

TikTok provides creator sounds and a Commercial Music Library. Venue business promotions should use music approved for the intended commercial use.

TikTok Studio / Unlimited Sounds

Check current catalogue availability and licensing terms. Creator-use music access does not automatically grant permission for venue advertising or use outside TikTok.

Give venues three soundtrack suggestions. List three songs that represent your live show, including the song title and original recording artist. These are suggestions only. Do not embed commercial recordings in your video or upload music files.

Venues are responsible for selecting appropriately licensed music for each platform and use. Music available for social posting may not be cleared for paid advertising, websites or venue screens.

07 / Promote your own gigs

YOUR GIG. YOUR VIDEO.
YOUR AUDIENCE.

You've created a 15-second sizzle reel. Now put it to work. Your silent footage is the perfect starting point for promoting your upcoming performances on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.

Add your band name, gig date, start time and venue, then choose a soundtrack that's approved for your intended use on the platform where you're posting.

Here's what your finished gig promotion could look like.

Example — Sports Bar Gig Promotion

Performance footage + event details + soundtrack. Tap play to hear the demonstration.

THE FINISHED PRODUCT

Same footage. New purpose.

This example uses the original silent sizzle reel and adds:

  • Your band name
  • Performance date
  • Start time
  • Venue name
  • A licensed soundtrack

You can create a new version for every gig without filming anything again.

Demonstration only. The example contains a separately supplied stock music track. For your own social posts, select music licensed for your intended use.

IMPORTANT: Keep your Pushworth sizzle reel silent. The three files you supply through the Pushworth Portal must remain free of music, text, dates and venue details. Create separate copies for your own gig promotions. Never overwrite your original promotional assets.

How to make your own gig promotion.

  1. Open Instagram, Facebook or TikTok and start creating a Reel or video post.
  2. Upload your vertical 9:16 sizzle reel.
  3. Add your band name, venue, date and start time using the platform's text tools.
  4. Choose a suitable soundtrack from music approved for your intended use on that platform.
  5. Preview your video. Check that text is readable and not covered by platform buttons or captions.
  6. Add a caption, tag the venue and include booking or ticket details where relevant.
  7. Publish your promotion and share it with your audience.

Where to find music for your posts.

Instagram & Facebook

Explore Meta Sound Collection and music available through the platform's creation tools. Check the applicable terms before using tracks in business promotions or paid ads.

Explore Meta Sound Collection

TikTok

Use TikTok's Commercial Music Library for music cleared for specified commercial uses on TikTok, subject to its terms.

Explore TikTok Commercial Music Library

Copyright-free doesn't always mean commercially cleared. Music libraries generally provide licensed tracks rather than music with no copyright. Check the track's licence, account eligibility, platform restrictions and whether it permits organic business posts or paid advertising. A track available on TikTok is not automatically licensed for Facebook, Instagram or other uses.
CHATGPT PROMPT 03 / CREATE MY GIG PROMOTION
I am a live entertainment artist creating a 15-second social media promotion for an upcoming gig.

I already have a silent vertical 9:16 performance video.

My gig details are:
Act name: [YOUR ACT NAME]
Venue: [VENUE NAME]
Date: [DATE]
Start time: [TIME]
Ticket or booking link: [LINK IF APPLICABLE]

Please help me:

1. Create a clear, engaging 15-second text overlay plan.
2. Position the text so it doesn't cover faces or important performance moments.
3. Keep the video readable on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
4. Explain how to add the text using the platform's built-in editing tools.
5. Explain how to choose music licensed for my intended use from Meta Sound Collection or TikTok Commercial Music Library.
6. Write a short, engaging Australian-English caption with a clear call to action.
7. Suggest relevant venue tags and hashtags.

Keep the tone energetic, contemporary and natural.

Do not add fake audience reactions or misleading performance footage.

Do not assume music from one platform can be reused on another.

One 15-second video. Dozens of opportunities to promote your next show.

08 / Upload your files

Film once. Share through Pushworth.

Create a Google Drive folder named ACT NAME — PUSHWORTH PROMO VIDEO .
